Q1 2026 Blogging Update: What I’ve Learned So Far

A few months ago, I wrote my first post of 2026 and specifically mentioned that I would be sharing my blogging journey this year. Basically, my plan is to show up consistently, take this seriously, and be honest about the whole process.

Three months in, it’s been exactly what I expected and not what I expected at all. Some days feel amazing. Some days, I wonder why I even started. And honestly, that’s all part of the journey.

I wanted to come back and share where I’m at, what’s working, what’s hard, and what I’m focusing on next. No fluff, just real.

If you didn’t catch that post, you can read it here for a little more context.

Where I’m At After 3 Months of Blogging

Let’s start with the numbers, because I know that’s the part people are curious about when it comes to a blogging journey.

For a clearer picture, I’m comparing January to March 2024 vs January to March 2026 so you can see the actual progress over time.

Quick note for context, because I think this matters. Two years ago, I was working full-time job and I did not had the ban with to blog as well. This year, I’ve had more time to focus on my blog, which has definitely made a difference in how consistent I can be.

Google Analytics:
Pinterest:

*Pinterest data starts in October 2025, since that’s when I created my business account.

Seeing these numbers makes me pause, because while they might look small to some, they mean everything to me.

Not because they’re huge, but because they show that showing up consistently works. That little actions, done over time, actually add up.

Growing on Pinterest

When I first started, I had zero traffic, zero visibility, and honestly, zero clue what I was doing on Pinterest.

I decided to just try, and I focused on a few simple things:

  • Creating fresh pins and posting daily
  • Learning which keywords actually matter
  • Paying attention to what people are actually searching for

And slowly, it started to work.

Seeing my account grow from 0 to 20.75K monthly views reminded me that growth is real, but it doesn’t happen overnight. You have to show up again and again, even when it feels like nothing is happening.

What My Google Analytics Is Showing So Far

I’m still early in this journey, but Google Analytics (GA) is starting to give me some insights I can actually use. The metrics I’m paying attention to are:

  • Sessions → how many people visit the site
  • Users → how many new people are discovering the content
  • Pageviews → which posts are actually being read
  • Traffic sources → where traffic is coming from (Pinterest, Google, etc.)

Even small improvements in these numbers feel motivating!

The Part No One Talks About

In case you do not remember, I’m currently unemployed, which means I’m at home 24/7. To some this sounds amazing… until you realize there’s no schedule, no structure, and no one telling you what to do.

Some days, motivation is there. Some days, it’s not. And that’s exactly why discipline matters more than motivation.

Showing up even when you don’t feel like it. Writing even when ideas aren’t flowing. Posting even when it feels like nobody is reading. I’ll be honest, it’s being harder than what I thought it was gonna be, but I’m trying to not be that hard on myself. I’m still learning what works and what doesn’t!

What I’m Focusing on Next (Q2 Goals)

Next quarter, my focus is simple:

  1. Stay consistent with posting. Make at least 3 posts per week.
  2. Keep growing on Pinterest. I’ll aim for 60K impressions and 600 outbound clicks.
  3. Learn more about SEO and Google rankings. Here we will aim for 3K views and 1K sessions
  4. Build a routine that actually works for me. Still working on this I’ll report back if I figure this part out!

Nothing crazy. Nothing unrealistic. Just small, consistent steps, over and over.

Why I’m Sharing This

I want you to see the beginning. Not the “after.”

The messy middle. The learning phase. The part where things are still uncertain.

If you’re thinking about starting a blog, or restarting one, I want you to know: you don’t need everything figured out to begin. You just need to start.

Final Thoughts

This journey is far from perfect, but it’s real. And if there’s one thing I’ve learned so far, it’s this: Consistency will take you further than motivation ever will.

So if you’re figuring things out, trying something new, or in a season of change, keep going.

I’ll be right here, figuring it out too.
